The head of the CEC of Belarus explained the appeal Tikhanovski in his office

The head of the CEC of Belarus Lidia Yermoshina has confirmed that Svetlana Tikhanovski, to run for President, has recorded a video message to supporters in her office.

"It's my couch. She wrote this appeal without me," said the Chairman of the electoral Commission in an interview with the Belarusian edition of Komsomolskaya Pravda.

Yarmoshyna noted that Tikhanovski brought a complaint to the CEC in the presence of journalists, after which she was invited to the office, because it wanted to meet the "two high-ranking officials" of law enforcement.

"I introduced them, she stayed with a lawyer along with them. And I went," — said the CEC head.

Tuesday Tikhanovski recorded a video message in which he asked his supporters not to go to the area, to exercise prudence and to comply with the law. On the same day it became known that she had gone to Lithuania.

According to the Trustee Tikhanovski Olga Kovalkova, the candidate had no choice but to leave Belarus. Some colleagues Tikhanovski admitted that it could have an impact "through her husband", who is now in custody.

In the night from Sunday to Monday in Belarus sparked protests over presidential election results, which, according to the CEC, Alexander Lukashenko won a little more than 80 percent, and Tikhanovski — 10.12 percent. Shares are going for the sixth day.

Protests suppressed by security forces using different methods, including tear gas, water cannons, stun grenades, and rubber bullets.

According to official data, during this time arrested more than six thousand people. As noted in the interior Ministry, during the riots injured hundreds of people, among them 121 law enforcement officer.

One protester, according to the interior Ministry, was killed while trying to throw the police improvised explosive device.
