Polish publication estimated the power of the Russian su-30CM
Russian su-30SM fighter jets after receiving a heavy rocket class "air-surface", created on the basis of liquid hypersonic missile X-32, greatly increase their own power. This opinion was expressed by the Polish edition Defence24.
Previously, the newspaper "Izvestia" with reference to sources in the military-industrial complex said that the Russian engineers develop a fundamentally new powerful weapons to equip the su-30SM. According to experts interviewed by the publication, we are talking about equipment "Dry" liquid hypersonic missile X-32, which was previously only used on long-range bombers Tu-22M3.
With heavy missiles class "air-surface" of long-range, "su-30SM will be able to Supplement the Tu-22 bombers and su-34, increasing the offensive potential of Russia as at the operational and strategic levels," the article reads. According to the authors, this hypersonic missile will be used not only on the su-30CM, but on the Tu-22 and the fighter-interceptors MiG-31BM, which is currently being adapted to the use of missiles "Dagger".
The su-30SM is a Russian multi-role fighter. It is designed to destroy aerial targets day and night, in VFR and IFR weather conditions, and also on the background of the earth in the application of active and passive interference, control of the airspace, blocking enemy airfields at great depths and operations for onshore and offshore facilities. Su-30 also may be used to manage group fighting in the conquest of the air, the destruction of the troops of the enemy in the air, as well as to conduct aerial reconnaissance and destruction of ground targets in simple and adverse weather conditions.
X-32 - Russian cruise missile air-launched class "air-surface" with a range up to 1000 kilometers and speeds of 4-5,4 thousand kilometers per hour. Officially adopted by the end of 2016.
