Most popular in Belarus since the beginning of summer among the ebooks used philosophical treatise Jose Ortega y Gasset "revolt of the masses", the three leaders also includes audiobooks Joe Dispenza "the Power of the subconscious, or How to change a life in 4 weeks" and "Just a Mac" by Boris Akunin, as evidenced by analyst group of companies "Litres".
The company analyzed the interest of Belarusians to electronic and audio books for June, July and beginning of August 2020.
"In the service of Litres in first place in sales was the book of the Spanish philosopher Jose Ortega y Gasset "revolt of the masses". Sales of this product grew by 104 times compared to the period April-may 2020. Most copies were sold on 24 June – 24% of total sales in the period under consideration", - told RIA Novosti press-service of the company.
In second place is the audiobook Joe Dispenza "the Power of the subconscious, or How to change a life in 4 weeks" – the third "Simply Mas" by Boris Akunin. The ten most popular books were: "Sapiens. A brief history of humankind" by Yuval Noah Harari, "the Subconscious can do anything!" John Kehoe, the famous dystopia "1984" by George Orwell and other books.
"The revolt of the masses" is the best book that brought its author worldwide fame. In it, Ortega y Gasset for the first time in Western philosophy, outlined the main principles of the structure of the so-called mass society.
Presidential elections in Belarus took place on 9 August. After the polls closed in Minsk began the riots, which lasted till morning, in which there are detainees. The law enforcement forces to disperse the protesters using stun grenades, water cannons, according to some reports, rubber bullets.
