Employers can transfer employees to remote work, even if it is not stipulated in the employment contract, told RIA Novosti in the press service of the Ministry of labor.
"Yes, in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, employers can organize the use of flexible modes of work for employees that have such technical capabilities," - said in the Ministry on the question of the possibility of transition to remote work, if it's not part of the employment contract.
The Ministry explained that the employer must issue a relevant order. It should reflect the conditions of work: start and end time, working hours and other conditions if necessary.
Due to coronavirus the employer and employee can exchange of documents in electronic form, but subsequently arrange them in the prescribed manner.
"Wages in remote employment while maintaining the duties that are assigned to the employee, remains unchanged," - said in the Ministry.
