In Khabarovsk 17 soldiers were injured when a bridge under construction collapsed

Seventeen soldiers were injured in the collapse of a newly built railway bridge across the Amur river in Khabarovsk, being tested, reported on the website of the Chief military investigative Department of the investigative Committee of Russia.

The press service of the Eastern military district reported earlier that on Wednesday, the division of the railway troops of the Eastern military composed of 20 people in the course of routine exercises carried out work to restore the bridge crossing near the village of Telman, on the border of Khabarovsk Krai and Jewish Autonomous region. Then, the press service reported about two victims in the collapse.

"August 5 at 6:30 GMT during the construction of a combined railway bridge crossing the Amur river occurred longitudinal displacement and folding of spans of the overpass. As a result of incident 17 soldiers received injuries of varying severity", - stated in the message.

Conducted preliminary examination on signs of the crime provided by article of the criminal code "Negligence, entailed on imprudence causing of heavy harm to health. At the end of the legitimate check will be a procedural decision".

Previously it is established that exercises of logistics are carried out from 3 August in the village of Telman.
