The cost of making the first modernized carrier rocket "Angara-А5М" to conduct flight tests from Baikonur East will be 6 billion rubles, follows from materials of the Roscosmos posted on the procurement website.
In October 2019, the General designer of KB "salute" of Khrunichev Centre Sergey Kuznetsov told RIA Novosti that the first launch of "Angara-А5М" with the East is planned at the end of 2024.

It is noted that flight tests of the rocket "Angara" on the East include three launches: the first in 2023 using a simple "Angara-A5", and the second and the third in 2024 and 2025 using the upgraded "Angara-А5М".
The rocket "Angara-А5М" compared with "Angara-A5" will use the first stage of the upgraded RD-191M. This will allow her to withdraw from the East into low earth orbit 27.7 tons instead of 25 tons and a geosynchronous orbit (a circular orbit with an altitude of 35786 kilometers) using oxygen-hydrogen upper stage kvtk - 5.1 tons is 4.2 tons.
