Embassy in Iran has denied the information about the attempted terrorist attack in the Consulate General
The Russian Embassy in Iran has called rumors information about the plans of one organization whose leader was detained by Iranian security forces to commit a terrorist attack in the Russian Consulate General.
"The Embassy unverified rumors doesn't make comments", - told RIA Novosti news Agency.
Earlier, the Iranian state broadcaster IRIB, without specifying the source of information reported that the organization "Tondar" whose leader was detained by the Iranian secret services were planning a terrorist attack in the Russian Consulate General in Resht. When they planned the attack, IRIB also indicates.
This information came after the Ministry of information (intelligence) Iran announced the arrest of the leader of the organization "Tondar" Jamshid of Sharmahd. According to authorities, the organization operated from the United States and carried out a number of attacks, and planned other operations in Iran.
According to the broadcasting company IRIB, the organization was part of a terrorist attack in the Russian Consulate General in Resht, however, said the broadcaster, the Iranian security services have prevented these actions.
Earlier it was reported that the organization "Tondar" (aka "the Shah of Iran Association"), is behind the explosion in a mosque in Shiraz in 2008 that killed at least 14 people and injured 200, and other subversive activities aimed against the existing regime in Iran.
"Tondar" called Iran a terrorist group, in favour of the monarchy in Iran, ceased to exist after the Islamic revolution of 1979.
