Railways resumed the movement of more than 180 long-distance trains
Railways resumed the running of more than 180 long-distance trains in Russia, previously canceled because of the situation with the coronavirus, the General Director of the company Oleg Belozerov at meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The Railways because of the decrease in passenger traffic against the background of coronavirus has cut more than 200 long-distance trains. After the easing of restrictions on the coronavirus, the company began to restore the previously cancelled trains. In mid-July, the Deputy Director General of the company Dmitry Pegov said that the Railways resumed the running of 70% of long-distance trains in Russia, previously canceled because of the situation with the coronavirus, and the plan in August will appoint an additional 20-40 trains to transport passengers from the South.
Earlier he reported that the fall in passenger traffic long-distance currently slowed down to 50%.
