Putin discussed with the security Council about the detention of Russian in Belarus
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the permanent members of the security Council of Russia expects for a speedy clarification of all circumstances of detention of Russian citizens in Belarus and their release, reported the press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.
This was discussed at the meeting in the video conference which the President held on Friday. "There was considerable conversation about the incident with detention of Russian citizens in Belarus", - said Peskov.
The meeting also traditionally discussed various issues of socio-economic domestic Russian agenda.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the speakers of both chambers of Parliament Valentina Matvienko, Vyacheslav Volodin, Deputy Chairman of the security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, the head of the Kremlin administration Anton Vaino, security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Ministers of internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev and defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov, head of the SVR, Sergei Naryshkin, and the President's special representative for environmental issues, ecology and transport Sergei Ivanov.
The Belarusian authorities announced on July 29 on the arrest of 33 Russian citizens.
