Iran's Supreme leader called the U.S. sanctions a crime

Us sanctions against Iran are a crime aimed at the collapse of the economy, said Iran's Supreme leader Ali Khamenei.

"Of course, the US sanctions is a crime, a great crime against the nation," said Khamenei, whose speech was shown in Iranian TV.

According to him, their sanctions Washington aims to stop Iran progress – mainly in the scientific field. In the long term, he said, the sanctions aimed at the collapse of Iran's economy.

Earlier, Secretary of state Mike Pompeo announced that the United States impose new sanctions against Iran, restricting the supply of metals and materials that can be used for nuclear, missile and military programs of the Islamic Republic.
