China has launched a rival GLONASS

Chinese President XI Jinping officially announced the launch of a Chinese global navigation system, Beidou-3.

The ceremony of launching of the system took place Friday morning in the hall of the people in Beijing.

Last, the 55th satellite system Beidou-3 was successfully launched into orbit on 23 June.

Beidou global navigation system that will compete with the American GPS and the Russian GLONASS. It is expected that this year it will provide navigation services worldwide.
