Kravchuk approved by the head of the delegation of Kiev in the contact group on Donbass

The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky has signed a decree which authorized the country's first President Leonid Kravchuk to present the delegation of Kiev in the contact group on conflict settlement in the Donbass, and was deprived of the same powers formerly head of the delegation Leonid Kuchma, the text of the document published on the official website of the office of the President.

Earlier, the former President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma stopped work in the contact group on conflict settlement in the Donbass. Wednesday Zelensky said that among the candidates for the post of head of the delegation of Kiev in the contact group on Donbass have Kravchuk and Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, first Deputy head of the delegation Alexei Reznikov. On Thursday, Kravchuk agreed to lead the delegation.

"Release Kuchma from the duties of the representative of Ukraine in the tripartite contact group on peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. To authorize the President of Ukraine in 1991-1994 Kravchuk to represent Ukraine in the trilateral contact group on the peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions", - stated in the text of the document.

On the website noted that Kravchuk will carry out its activity on public principles.
