Putin is waiting for the report on the work in Usol'e-Sibirskoe after three months

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed three months to report on the results of the first phase of elimination of environmental pollution in Usolye-Siberian the Irkutsk region.

On Thursday, Putin held a meeting via videoconference on the environment in Usolye-Sibirskoye. At the meeting the head of state said that the environmental situation in this city is difficult, the burden of environmental problems accumulated there since the 1930-ies, now the storage facilities chemical wastes are in poor condition,

The acting Governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev said that the site was previously used for chemical production enterprise "Usoliekhimprom", its total area is more than 600 hectares. Production activity of the chemical enterprises were discontinued in 2010. As a result of stopping the production of a significant part of the waste was placed in the underground tanks and left on site, resulting in all soil, groundwater soaked in hazardous chemicals.

The President heard the report of the head of the region gave a number of instructions.
