Technical meeting of the Westminster magistrates court in London on charges of extradition to the US of Russian businessman Oleg Tinkov, scheduled for July 31, were postponed for 25 September, told RIA Novosti the official representative of the court.

"The judge adjourned the case until September 25," - said the Agency interlocutor.

Hearing on extradition Tinkov transferred for the third time, initially the hearing was scheduled for April 17, and then they were transferred on July 13, later – on July 31.

It is expected that the meeting will be technical in nature, which Tinkov will not be present. After lawyers from both sides will determine the order further hearings will be scheduled dates of the meetings on the merits.

The trial on the extradition of Russian banker is in London at the request of the U.S. justice Department, accusing Tinkov in filing false tax returns. The businessman, who at the time of the process is in London, faces up to six years in prison.

Tinkov said in March that he was sick with leukemia in the acute form and is fighting for his life. In early July he had surgery for a bone marrow transplant, and then announced that the rehabilitation is going well. A court case engaged a team of lawyers.
