The winners of the international prize RT the name of the deceased in Syria, the journalist Khaled al-Khatib journalists from Russia, Syria and India, reports the RT.
International award named after Khaled al-Khatib is awarded in three categories: "the Best work from the conflict zone: the Short video", "Best work from the conflict zone: Long video", "Best work from the conflict zone: Text". Victory claimed journalists from 16 countries.
The winner in the category "the Best work from the conflict zone: the Short video" became a Syrian journalist Mohamed Ali. His story "In Idlib began the truce" tells about the situation in the Syrian province of Idlib, where the result of an agreement between Russia and Turkey entered into force a ceasefire.
Russian journalist Alexander konevich who became the winner in the category "the Best work from the conflict zone: Long live". His series of reports "the Russian military in Syria" tells the story of how the Russian armed forces are assisting the Syrian military and the civilian population of the country to overcome the consequences of the ongoing conflict.
In the category "the Best work from the conflict zone: the Text" won the journalist of India Ruchi Kumar. Publication Kumar, "Why did Iran massively deport Afghan refugees" tells about the difficult conditions under which Afghan refugees are in Iran. The authorities are annually deported to their homeland of hundreds of thousands of people.
It is noted that in the jury consisted of the military correspondent of VGTRK Evgeny Poddubny, honored for its work in Syria and Ukraine, the three television awards TEFI, and posted by RT, Murad Gazdiev, covering the major armed conflicts of recent years and the mass protests around the world.

The work of the participants also evaluated a journalist, a writer, an expert in U.S. foreign policy and Latin America Eva Golinger, development Director of the international Association of broadcasters AIB Tom Ragg, a military correspondent for the Italian newspaper il Giornale Jan Mikalsen, an expert on Arab countries, a correspondent for the Egyptian newspaper Youm7 Ahmed Gomaa and Greek journalist, winner of international awards Konstantinos Antonopoulos.
In 2019 the victory received entries from 25 countries. The winners were the representatives of Russia, USA, Italy and India, highlighting the conflicts in Syria, Iraq and Libya. The jury of the award included prominent Russian and foreign journalists, including Irada Zeynalova and Eugene Poddubny.
