Mufti: "Russia 1" will be broadcasting in Eid al-Adha

Stream sermons and public prayers in Eid al-Fitr on July 31 will be available on TV channels "Russia 1" and "360", said Wednesday the first Deputy Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia, mufti of Moscow region Rushan Abbyasov.

The feast of the sacrifice Eid al-Adha (Turkic), or ID al-Adha (Arabic) is one of the main festivals of the Muslims. It is celebrated on the tenth day of Dhul-Hijjah of the Islamic lunar calendar and lasts three days. Every year the date of the holiday changes, in 2020, Eid al-Adha begins on July 31.

"We agreed with the government of the Moscow region that broadcast the prayer will begin at 7 a.m. on TV channel "360". And at 9 am will begin broadcasting on the TV channel "Russia 1". We're all going to duplicate on their information – the official website and YouTube channel," said Abbyasov at a press conference in MIA "Russia today".

He recalled that the only service will be held in the Cathedral mosque in Moscow.

"Including Federal channels, websites, YouTube, believers can listen to the sermon and make private prayers," concluded Abbyasov.
