Former Deputy head of economic security and combating corruption of the interior Ministry of Russia for the Voronezh region received four years imprisonment for fraud for 10 million rubles, reported to journalists the senior assistant Prosecutor of the Voronezh region Mikhail Usov.
According to prosecutors, the former Deputy head of economic security and combating corruption of the interior Ministry of Russia for the Voronezh region Vitaly Chermashentsev was accused of fraud with use of official position in especially large size.
"As established by the court, Chermashentsev committed a theft of 10 million rubles owned by the entrepreneur, by entering it into the misperception that, by virtue of official position it can provide overall protection to his business by the state and controlling bodies", - stated in the message Usova.
According to her, from April 2015 to may 2019 Chermashentsev received on a monthly basis from the intermediary 200 thousand rubles for allegedly rendered patronage. As noted by the prosecution, no "promised action in favor of the businessman, the police did not commit."
The sentence Chermashentseva Central district court on July 29.
"The court has appointed guilty punishment in the form of 4 years of imprisonment with punishment serving in a corrective colony of General regime. In addition, Chermashentsev deprived of the right to occupy posts in law enforcement bodies related to the exercise of the functions of the authority for a period of 3 years", - informs the Prosecutor's office.
The sentence has not entered force and can be appealed.
As explained by RIA Novosti head of the press service of the interior Ministry in the Voronezh region Natalia Kulikova, from the bodies of internal Affairs Chermashentsev was fired over a year ago.
