In the ATOR spoke about the situation with inbound tourism
The resumption of flights between Russia, Britain, Turkey and Tanzania has not yet been reflected in the sector of incoming tourism of Russia, said the Executive Director of the Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze.
Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova on Friday has informed that Russia since August 1, will resume flights from the UK, Turkey and Tanzania. While Turkey adopted two decisions. From August 1 to resume air service to the cities of Turkey like Ankara and Istanbul, and, since August 10 is the resort town of Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman.
"I must say that those countries that have opened now, in fact, have no effect on inbound tourism. That is to rely on the tourists arriving to Russia, or some revival of demand in the inbound market is not necessary", - said Lomidze, speaking at a press conference on the resumption of flights of Russian citizens abroad.
"With domestic tourism we are all very good, outbound tourism went the first moves, while the inbound market is still waiting for the full opening of air links with those countries which are the main tourists in Russia," - commented she.
