The Ministry of health of Ukraine has reported a sharp increase in the number of cases COVID-19 in July

The incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine for the month increased by more than threefold to 161.4 m per 100 thousand population, the data provided by the Centre for public health, Ministry of health of the country.

The Minister of health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov at a press briefing on June 25 reported that the incidence rate in the country amounted to about 50 people per 100 thousand population. Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal 27 July at a meeting headed by President Vladimir Zelensky cited figures from 66.7 per 100 thousand population.

"As of July 29, the incidence of COVID-19 amounted to 161.4 m per 100 thousand population. The case-fatality rate of 2.4%," - said the press service of the Centre in Facebook.

Earlier, the Ministry of health of Ukraine reported that the country recorded 67 597 cases COVID-19, died on 1 650 people, recovered 37 394.
