The elections to the state Duma, has registered 12 candidates, said Pamfilova

The by-election of deputies of the state Duma on four single-seat constituencies was yet only 12 of the 31 candidates nominated, today is the last day of filing, said the CEC Chairman, Ella Pamfilova.

Additional elections of deputies of the state Duma will be held in four single-seat constituencies: in Yaroslavl, Penza and Kursk regions, and also in Tatarstan.

Pamfilova recalled that the deadline for registration of candidates ends today.

"In four single-mandate districts nominated 31 candidates from nine political parties. While only 12 candidates. Honestly, I really wish all of this 31 candidates were registered. This is important, competition is important," - said Pamfilova at the meeting of the CEC on Wednesday.

The electoral Commission has 10 days for review of documents and a decision on the candidates, reminded Pamfilova. She urged colleagues in the regions to treat the candidates "most sympathetic".

Pamfilova said that the seven candidates have not yet submitted the documents for registration.
