The Ministry of education completed the distribution of budget places in universities by 31 July

The Ministry of science and higher education of the Russian Federation plans on July 31 to complete the allocation of state universities and desperatelty 11.4 thousand places allocated for the academic year 2020/21, will be available 542,7 thousands of budget places, the press service of the Ministry.

"On 31 July the Ministry of education of Russia plans to complete the process of distribution of admission quotas (budget places) for the 2021/22 academic year, and despradelle 11.4 thousand of budget places to 2020/21 academic year. On the 2021/22 academic year total number of budget places will be 542,7 thousand, of which 33,7 thousands of additional funded places allocated in response to the message of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly on January 15, 2020", - stated in the message.

It is noted that the priority in the allocation of seats assigned to the regional universities. Thus, the total share of Moscow and St. Petersburg will begin to decline from year to year and by 2030 will account for 21.2%, while in 2020 is 24.3%.

"The number of budget places in the capitals also will grow", - says the Ministry.

Added that at the present time on the basis of the decision of the tender Commission on the appeals of the universities of the Ministry of education leads the clarification of distribution of budget places between educational organizations.
