Iran has launched ballistic missiles during exercises

The Iranian military during the exercises carried out launches of ballistic missiles from the ground, the news Agency Tasnim.

The Islamic revolutionary guard corps (IRGC, part of the armed forces of Iran) began the final stage of the maneuvers in the Persian Gulf and the Western part of the Strait of Hormuz, codenamed "the Great prophet – 14" involving naval and aerospace forces.

According to the Agency, the Iranian military made a successful launch of a ballistic missile with launching facilities located underground, in the course of the second day of the exercise, which started on Wednesday.

During the exercise of the Iranian armed forces for the first time received data from the satellite "Nur" - the first military satellite of Iran, which was launched in April this year.

In addition, it was reported that Iran had also tested the attack on an American aircraft carrier, utilizing for this purpose the layout of the ship. Exercises commented and the commander of the IRGC Hossein salami, saying that the policy and strategy of the Tehran aimed at protecting their vital interests and is defensive in nature. However, he added, the tactical dimension in the case of encroachment by the enemy provides and offensive, which worked out including in the course of manoeuvres.
