Lukashenko in the elections are ready to support 72,3% of the population, the survey showed

The incumbent President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who is running for a sixth term, ready to support 72,3% of the citizens of the Republic, according to data conducted by the analytical center Ecoom poll.

A public opinion poll "about the electoral moods and preferences of citizens" was held by order of the Belarusian ONT TV channel, results posted Tuesday on its website. The study was conducted from 23 to 27 July 2020 by telephone survey. The Republican sample size is 1879 of respondents, the statistical error does not exceed 2.5-4%. In the previous poll conducted by the Ecoom July 10-13, also in the order of ONT, it was reported that Lukashenko in the elections are ready to vote for 69,4% of the population.

"Alexander Lukashenko is ready to support 72,3% of Belarusians. The other ratings do not exceed in total 10%. Undecided – 10.9 per cent, did not want to answer and 3.1%, against all – was 3.7%", - stated in the message.

The table shows that, of the candidate Svetlana Tikhanovski ready to support 7.5% of the citizens, Anna Konopacky 1.6%, and Sergei Ceresna – 0,2%, Andrei Dzmitryeu – 0,7%.

It is also noted that the level of trust Lukashenko, which includes not only the electoral rating and the rating of socio-economic policy of the President, of the effectiveness of its decisions is of 78.1%.

According to the data obtained in the survey data, participation in the poll plan to take a total of 89.5% of the population, with the possibility of early voting is generally positive, more than half of the population - 61,4%.

Presidential elections will be held in Belarus on 9 August, candidates was five.
