In Ukraine, spent 10% of funds from the Fund to combat COVID-19

The Ukrainian authorities have already spent 10% of funds from the Fund to combat coronavirus infection, said Tuesday the country's Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal.

Earlier, the government of Ukraine has developed amendments to the state budget of the current year, which included cuts in the funding of a number of fields, and the creation of a Fund to combat coronavirus infection. However, the Parliament did not support the proposed Cabinet changes and sent the bill back for revision. In the amended version of the law, the Cabinet proposed to amend the state budget this year, which included the establishment of the Fund of struggle against COVID-19 in the amount of 2.4 billion instead of the previously planned 3.4 billion. It was voted by the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada.

"Fund COVID-19 64.7 billion hryvnia (2.4 billion dollars – ed.) to combat the effects of coronavirus. He's already distributed. But distributed does not mean spent. The money spent is currently about 10% of the total. But, of course, the fight against coronavirus is a long process and not always predictable", - said Smigel during a briefing on "Kryukovsky car-building plant". The Prime Minister leads the Agency "UKRINFORM".

The Prime Minister also added that the government plans to reallocate funds within this Fund jointly with the budget Committee.
