Tikhanovski wants to address the Parliament of Belarus on 3 August
The candidate in presidents of Belarus Svetlana Tikhanovski intends to make in Parliament on 3 August, the same day the Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko in his annual message to the nation and Parliament, said Tuesday the headquarters of alternative policies, uniting their efforts around Tikhanovski.
"All presidential candidates from the time of their registration have the equal right to speak at election and other meetings, meetings. Including on state television. So today, July 28, Svetlana Tikhanovski sent his request to speak at the meeting of the extraordinary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. At the same session, where on August 3, before the start of early voting with his message will be the incumbent President", - is spoken in the message.
It is emphasized that Lukashenko, who is running for a sixth term, is also in the status of a candidate for President. According to Tikhanovski, all presidential candidates must be provided equal rights and impose equal obligations.
According to a statement published by the staff in social networks, the document sent to the CEC, the two chambers of the Belarusian Parliament and the National state TV and radio company, which traditionally is broadcast message. The statement stressed that the incumbent could choose to refer to the Parliament and people any day, but it will happen on August 3, just before the start of early voting in the presidential elections. The politician asks to invite her to an extraordinary session of Parliament to provide for lighting its election program on the same day and in the same volume as for the treatment of Lukashenko.
Earlier, the national legal Internet portal of the Republic announced that Lukashenko on August 3, will address with the annual message to the people and the Parliament of the Republic. The message is annual. This year it was scheduled for mid-April, but was postponed to a later date due to the uncertainty of the coronavirus COVID-19. Belarusians will elect their President on August 9, early voting starts August 4th. Candidates for the highest office was five people.
Earlier, three headquarters of the presidential candidate Tikhanovski, and unregistered in this capacity, the former head of Belgazprombank Victor Babariko and former head of the high-tech Park Valery Tsepkalo stated that he decided to join efforts during the current campaign with the goal of holding fair elections in the country. Last week Tsepkalo stated that the developed IT solution which will allow to minimize possible violations during the presidential elections in the country scheduled for 9 August.
