Kuchma emerged from the contact group on Donbass

The former President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma stopped work in the contact group on conflict settlement in the Donbass, said Tuesday the press service of the office of President Vladimir Zelensky on the results of their meeting.

"Vladimir Zelensky grateful the second President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma for his work at the head of the Ukrainian delegation in the trilateral contact group (TAG). The head of state stressed that the work of Leonid Kuchma, in the Minsk process was extremely important and difficult time, and noted that with the respect and reverence it relates to the decision on termination of participation in the activities of the TAG", - stated in the message on the website of the President.

During the meeting, Kuchma said that in the future if necessary would be willing to share experiences and provide advice regarding the establishment of peace in the region.

"Thank you for all the effort you made to unlock the Minsk process to achieve peace. Your experience was most important and extremely necessary. Always ready to hear your advice in the future," said Zelensky.

Kuchma on 3 June 2019 for a second time headed the Kiev delegation in the contact group on peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbass.
