The Governor of the Amur region, Vasily Orlov said that people rally in Khabarovsk is not only because of the arrest of Sergey Furgala at the edge of a bunch of problems.
"I think the question here is not only and not so much about the name of the Governor as in a whole bunch of problems, a bunch of discontent people. People believe that their opinion (when voting - ed.) is ignored, so that such a resonance of public. Without respect for people of this situation cannot be resolved," Orlov said during a live broadcast in Instagram.
He added that facing an unsanctioned rally in Khabarovsk believe Furgala arrest "element of political struggle."
Commenting on the arrest Furgala, he noted that "such high profile case should be as widely covered in the press, then people will have no issues."
Orlov expressed the hope that the situation in the Khabarovsky Krai "find a compromise". "It is absolutely unacceptable that for a long time such a big and important country for the region remained without leadership. The decision about the direction to the acting is absolutely correct. But he will cope with the task or not, will decide the people in the elections next year", - concluded the head of the Amur region.
Furgala was detained on suspicion of involvement in organized crime groups and custom-made murders of businessmen in the 2000-ies. He is in custody in a Moscow jail Lefortovo. President Vladimir Putin removed him from his post in connection with loss of trust and appointed the Deputy of the state Duma from LDPR Mikhail Degtyarev, the acting head of the region.
