Kuban becomes a year-round resort, where 40% of the tourist flow falls on the "no season", said in an interview with RIA Novosti, the Minister of resorts, tourism and the Olympic legacy of Krasnodar region Svetlana Balayeva.

Earlier, the Minister told the news Agency that the holiday resorts of the Krasnodar region, despite the situation with coronavirus and late start to the season, has not risen, and the preconditions for rise in prices are not. She noted that the region expects over the summer to take 7 million tourists, and then to obtain a substantial flow of tourists in the autumn season. To replenish a beach holiday on the black sea resorts of Kuban, the Minister recommended that in the vicinity of the mountain regions of the Western Caucasus, private wineries and farms, as well as ethnographic settlements.

"In fact, we can already speak of the Krasnodar region as a year-round resort. Judge for yourself, last year we hosted more than 17 million tourists, from them in the summer months, the region was visited by about 10. That is, about 7 million were in the spring, winter and fall. It's about 40% of the tourist traffic – a very good indicator", - said the Minister.

According to her, this year the flow of tourists, "not in season" may increase.

"We expect that, while maintaining the favourable epidemiological situation in the second half of the year, we will accept guests less than last year," Balaev said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
