In Richmond during the riots, police detained 16 people
Police of the Richmond (Virginia) in the US arrested 16 people at the end of riots in the night of Monday, said the chief of police of the city of Gerald Smith at a press conference broadcast by local TV channels.
"We must take action when we see that the violence begin", - said the chief of police.
According to him, the city was a series of arsons, the crowd beat the Windows of shops.
On the question whether the participants of the riots, representatives of the left movement "antifa", Smith replied in the affirmative.
"Yes, we believe that the "anti-fascists" were present at the place yesterday," said Smith.
"We will bring them to justice, regardless of what they did", he concluded.
