. World-renowned designer Kansai Yamamoto died at the age of 76 years, according to NHK.
He died on July 21, but his daughter Mirai Yamamoto wrote about this in his instagram on Monday, July 27.
From the beginning Yamamoto was treated at a hospital in Tokyo.
Yamamoto was the first Japanese designer who held his fashion show in London. He was 27 years old. He received recognition for innovative design clothing inspired by Kabuki theatre.
He was friends with the musicians David Bowie, stage outfits which have become his trademark.
Since the beginning of the 90s, Yamamoto was also involved in producing entertainment shows in Russia, Japan, Vietnam, India and other countries.
