Russia and the United States began consultations on strategic stability in Vienna
In Vienna began the meeting of the interdepartmental delegations of Russia and the USA, where the sides will discuss topical issues in the field of international security and arms control, said Monday the Russian permanent mission to the international organizations in the Austrian capital.
Consultations will be held from 27 to 30 July.
"The meeting of experts of Russia and the USA on strategic stability issues in the three working groups has started in Vienna", - stated in the message in Twitter of the permanent mission.
As previously reported, the Russian foreign Ministry, the meeting will be held on doctrines and capabilities, transparency and verification and on space security.
The Russian-American consultations on strategic stability issues took place in Vienna on 22-23 June. The Russian delegation at the negotiations was headed by Deputy foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, us - special envoy of the U.S. President for arms control Marshall Billingsley. They discussed the issue of extending the Contract on reduction of strategic offensive arms (start-3), maintaining stability and predictability in the conditions of the termination of the INF Treaty. At the consultations, the sides confirmed the launch of the working group on space and a number of others.
