New Russian space robot can stay without a personal name
The following Russian space robot, which is developed to replace the robot "Fedor" may remain without a proper name, and to the alphanumeric designation, said in an interview with RIA Novosti Executive Director of the NGO "Android technology" (developed by robot "Fedora") Eugene Dudorov.
"We he is called SAR – anthropomorphic robotic system. The new name we invented. I think in the end will probably alphanumeric symbol. In this situation it would be correct," - said Dudorov.
In November 2019 the number of media reports referring to "Roscosmos" that in 2023 a pilot prospective Russian manned spacecraft "eagle" will be a robot, which will be called "Artyom". It was noted that the robot will control the vehicle - press buttons to perform certain operations. It needs to become a more perfect robotic complex than a robot "Fedor". The name "Fedor" at the time it was given, being then Vice-Premier, the head of the Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin. It is noteworthy that the names Fedor and Artem are grandchildren Rogozin.
Robot "Theodore" went into space on 22 August 2019 on the spacecraft "Soyuz MS-14". In addition to the personal name of the robot was call – Skybot F-850. Aboard the ISS, he was tested in Autonomous mode and under control of the astronauts. The seventh of September, Fedor returned to Earth.
The following robot created in the framework of the project "Teledroid". The project involves the creation of an anthropomorphic robot with no legs who will work on the outer surface of the ISS. In February 2020, it was reported that completed the conceptual and technical design of this robotic complex. The robot will be sent into space in 2024.
