The Federation Council has threatened Klimkin criminal case on the Crimea

Ex-Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin possible to prosecute due to the adopted amendments to the Russian Constitution. This was stated by a member of the Federation Council Vladimir Jabbarov.

He recalled that the statement of the former Minister now goes against the amendment on the territorial integrity of the country and a law that allows you to attract a person to criminal liability for incitement to break it.

Previously Klimkin suggested "to turn the Crimea in the internal and external challenge to Russia" and "stay real friends, who share common values and common future". His statement he made on the eve of the second anniversary of the "Crimean Declaration", in which Washington recognizes the Peninsula as Russian territory.

Klimkin was born in Kursk, graduated from the Moscow physical-technical Institute, lives and works in Ukraine since the early 1990-ies.
