Ukraine wants to cooperate with Egypt in the space sector

The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky expressed interest in cooperation with Egypt in the space sector, this was discussed during his telephone conversation with the head of Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, announced the press service of the President's office on Friday.

Separately was discussed the theme of enhancing cooperation in the space industry.

"Given the significant experience of industrial and engineering base, Ukraine is interested in resumption of mutually beneficial cooperation with Egypt in such areas as the production and control of the satellites, the modernization of the land base control and testing equipment of the spacecraft, the preparation and training of Egyptian personnel. I am convinced that our countries have significant potential for cooperation in the field of use of outer space for peaceful purposes," said Zelensky in the course of the conversation.

Separately, the two heads of state discussed trade-economic cooperation between the two countries and the measures required to mitigate the consequences associated with the pandemic coronavirus infection.

Zelensky also invited al-Sisi to visit Ukraine after stabilization of the situation with coronavirus.

"Al-Sisi said that he was pleased to visit Ukraine, and invited Vladimir Zelensky to visit Egypt after the normalization of the epidemiological situation", - stated in the message.
