The head of Abkhazia discussed with the Russian Ambassador the opening of the border
The President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania discussed with the Russian Ambassador in the Republic Alexei Dvinyanin the possibility for a gradual opening of the Russian-Abkhazian border, reported on the website of the guardian in Facebook.
"During the meeting the sides discussed issues of cooperation in the field of combating coronavirus infections, in particular prospects for a phased opening of the Russian-Abkhaz border", - is spoken in the message.
In addition, they discussed aspects of strengthening cooperation in the fields of security and combating organized crime on the territory of Abkhazia, as well as the process of harmonization of the draft agreement on dual citizenship of citizens of the Republic and the Russian Federation.
The total number of newly infected COVID-19 in Abkhazia is 44, recovered - 37. One patient at the age of 95 years died.
Abkhazia has extended the closures and restrictive measures due to the coronavirus to 28 July.
