The Ministry of foreign Affairs of China as the BRICS countries prepare for the meeting of foreign Ministers
The BRICS countries maintained close contact on the issue of preparation for the meeting of foreign Ministers of the Association, which is tentatively scheduled for early September, said at a briefing on Friday, foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin.
Earlier, the Ambassador of India to Russia Venkatesh Varma said that the foreign Ministers of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) plan to meet in early September in Moscow.
"China fully supports the work of the Russian side in the framework of its chairmanship of BRICS this year, we expect that under the leadership of the Russian party, and through common efforts of all the members cooperation in the framework of the BRICS this year will achieve new progress," - said the diplomat.
According to him, according to the plan of the Russian side, the official meeting of foreign Ministers of the BRICS countries to be held in early September, "all parties are in close contact in the preparation of this meeting."
Wang Wenbin added that currently the situation on international arena is quite complicated, and China hopes that the upcoming meeting will exchange views with relevant parties on the challenges now facing the international community.
