The Federation Council approved the law on educational component in education
The Federation Council at session on Friday has approved the law on the strengthening of the educational component in education.
A bill introduced in the state Duma in late may, Russian President Vladimir Putin. Changes to the Federal law "On education".
The document proposed to define education as an activity "aimed at the development of personality, creation of conditions for self-determination and socialization".
The explanatory Memorandum States that the bill will contribute to a more comprehensive spiritual, moral and intellectual development of students, inculcate in them patriotism and citizenship, respect for the memory of defenders of the Fatherland, the older generation and the working man.
It is expected that the law will come into force on 1 September 2020.
