Indonesia is hoping to purchase from Russia the vaccine against COVID-19

The government of Indonesia hopes to acquire a vaccine against COVID-19 produced in Russia, reported RIA Novosti, the country's Ambassador to Russia Mohamad Wahid Supriadi.

"I heard from the media that maybe by August or September, Russia will succeed in creating a vaccine. Of course, we really need this vaccine, because the number (of cases COVID-19) is still growing," the Ambassador said.

He replied in the affirmative to the question whether Indonesia to purchase Russian vaccine production.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that four vaccines against coronavirus in Russia proved its safety. At the moment, as told Mishustin, work on the development of vaccines are all Russian research institutions.
