Jakarta is studying the offer of "Rosatom" on the first Indonesian nuclear power plant

Indonesian officials examine the proposal of the state Corporation "Rosatom" on construction of the first nuclear power plant in Indonesia, told RIA Novosti Ambassador to Russia Mohamad Wahid Supriadi.

According to the Ambassador, as potential sites for nuclear power plants was proposed in the Indonesian province of West Kalimantan on the island of Borneo (Kalimantan).

At this stage the talks between Rosatom and officials in Jakarta continue despite disruptions caused by the pandemic coronavirus, the Ambassador added.

"There are some difficulties because of the coronavirus, so any personal meeting is impossible, until the end of the pandemic. But the process continues," said Supriadi.
