Zelensky demanded decrypt each item of the Minsk agreements
President Vladimir Zelensky said about the need to decipher the Minsk agreement.
On Thursday, the head of state together with Swiss President Simonetta Sommaruga visited the pedestrian bridge near the checkpoint "Stanitsa Lugansk".
In his speech, he said that the Ukrainian side fulfils its part of the Minsk agreements, while in Kiev, waiting for the other side of the conflict similar actions.
The Ukrainian leader added that the agreements on cease-fire since July 27, it is necessary to continue to accumulate in the contact group in Minsk.
"This is a generalized statement detail this statement we should just go to format – this is agreement. In the Minsk format should all be written out in detail: every person who answers, when, how is this information. That would be a different story, it's very long," said Zelensky.
The President of Ukraine stated the need to "decode" the Minsk agreement.
"We want to decrypt each item of the Minsk agreements. Then we will see – we are able to perform it or not, how are we going to do, who will be responsible," he concluded.
On Thursday the Russian foreign Ministry said that Ukraine actually came from the Minsk agreements. The official representative of the Ministry Maria Zakharova said that the resolution of the Verkhovna Rada for the local elections needed clarification and called on partners in the channel format — Germany and France — to assess the situation.
Earlier, the representatives of DND and LNR said that the Ukrainian side refused to explain the position on local elections in the Donbass, thereby blocking further work of the contact group.
The Verkhovna Rada appointed on October 25, the next local elections, while on the uncontrolled territories of Kiev they would not take place. In the decision of the Ukrainian Parliament indicated that they will be held only after restoring control over the border with Russia.
The settlement of the situation in the Donbass is discussed, inter alia, in the framework of the contact group in Minsk. Since September 2014 she has taken three of the document, regulatory measures to de-escalate the conflict. Despite this, the parties continue shooting.
