Tourist industry asked to remove the restrictive measures with the tourism industry of St. Petersburg
The experts of the National Union of hospitality industry (OIG) addressed to the Chairman of the government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin to consider a package of proposals concerning the lifting of restrictive measures in the sphere of tourist industry of St. Petersburg, told RIA Novosti in the press service of OIG.
Now the city banned the work of travel agencies, there are restrictions on the reception of tour groups in museums and the implementation of the agreements of the travel agencies and museums.
Representatives of the Union drew attention to the fact that because of the pandemic, the tourism industry has become one of the most affected in the country and in St. Petersburg. They stated the need for prompt resumption of travel agencies in the city whose activities are prohibited until July 26, 2020.
"Today, the city is actually prohibited organized tourism. It is necessary to provide active assistance in the restoration of museums, museums, Palace and Park of museums and give them the opportunity to fully interact with the tour operators," — said the Plenipotentiary representative of ASIG in the North-West Federal district Elizaveta Nefedova.
Experts also Union made a proposal to consider the extension of the subsidy period the tourist companies of Saint Petersburg in June-July 2020 for salaries in the amount of 12 130 rubles employees of small and medium-sized businesses, leading operations in the hospitality industry.
