Koktebel Jazz Party has named the first participants of the festival–2020

The organizing Committee of the international festival Koktebel Jazz Party has named the first participants of the 18th season, which will be held in Koktebel from 21 to 23 August.

Among the Russian participants of the Koktebel Jazz Party in 2020 — a Large jazz orchestra p/u Russian trumpeter Peter Vostokov, the ensemble of Brazilian jazz Esh, an all-star cast of Yakov Okun, the trio's artist of Russia Daniel Kramer, singer Larisa Dolina and Mariam Merabova. The program will also include performances by Bril Family — Patriarch of Russian jazz-Igor Bril and his sons, saxophonists Alexander and Dmitry, big band, Sergey Smut, people's artist of Russia Igor Sklyar with a group of Jazz Classic Community, Anastasia Litovoi and her composition "Deep bend" and many others.

The festival Koktebel Jazz Party in 2020 will be attended by foreign performers — according to tradition, their names will be presented on the opening day, August 21. In confirmation of that jazz blurs all boundaries and brings together even in times of quarantine restrictions, the stars of world jazz will participate in the program "jazz at the speed of light" which will be held in the teleconference format.

To ensure safety, as the participants of the festival and its spectators, the organizing Committee of the festival will be complied with all the necessary sanitary requirements of Rospotrebnadzor in the coronavirus.

In April 2020 the festival Koktebel Jazz Party with MIA "Russia today" media group and "Red square" started on-line marathon in support of Russian doctors and hospitals in times of pandemic coronavirus. The marathon kicked off international jazz day, 30 April, on the website ria.ru the leader of the Russian Internet and in the official account of RIA Novosti, Vkontakte. Online marathon Doctor Jazz Party brought together stars of jazz music from nine countries, including Russia, China, USA, Brazil, Japan. The marathon lasted seven hours, the speeches, the participants were seen by about two million people.

originated in 2003 as a private initiative of the founder of the Koktebel jazz journalist Dmitry Kiselev. Small Crimean village gave its name to the festival, today occupy a recognized place in the list of world jazz festivals. The names of the star participants, the organizers traditionally kept secret. In different years the festival was visited by legendary jazz drummer Jimmy Cobb (USA), winner of the Grammy for best Latin jazz album Gonzalo Rubacalba (Cuba), known for his innovative technique of playing an American bass guitarist and the bassist Stanley Clarke, stars of nu jazz Club Des Belugas (Germany), a unique saxophonist Robert Anchipolovsky (Israel), the German band De-Phazz from Heidelberg. Guest KJP-2017 was the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

In 2014, Koktebel Jazz Party is supported by the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation.
