Epidemiologist spoke about the adaptation of coronavirus to humans

Coronavirus adapts to man - his ability to cause disease is reduced, but the seasonal rise in the incidence probably will be in November-December, said the head of the Department of epidemiology and evidence-based medicine of the First MGMU named after I. M. Sechenov, chief epidemiologist, Ministry of health of the Russian Federation Nikolay Briko.

"The virus circulating among the population, still adapts to the person and reduced its virulence. The most dangerous are viruses that re-emerged. They will appear, no doubt about it. Every year we see one or two infectious diseases," said Briko at a press conference.

According to him, the seasonal rise in the incidence of coronavirus, apparently, will be in November-December, but the severity of the seasonal rise is not very high.
