Moskalkova commented on the US sanctions against Kadyrov
Sanctions are not a constructive approach to the resolution of disputes, bans and limitations can lead to the violation of human rights and are uncivilized forms of conflict resolution, said the Commissioner for human rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova, commenting on the introduction of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in the "black list" of the USA.
The U.S. state Department on Monday announced the introduction of Kadyrov in the "black list" of persons, involved, according to authorities, the violation of human rights. Under the sanctions also got the wife and daughter of the head of Chechnya. On Tuesday, the national Parliament held an emergency meeting in connection with the new sanctions against Kadyrov and his family. An appeal was issued to the U.S. Congress with the requirement to consider the validity of the application of the Department of state on the inclusion of Kadyrov in the sanctions list.
"My position quite clearly for many years, that sanctions are an unconstructive approach to resolving any issues, disputes. Only dialogue, only the ability to lay out arguments, to find some compromises... And the prohibitions and restrictions in the actions connected with economy, politics, and cultural processes - they certainly lead to violation of the rights of the people are uncivilized forms of conflict resolution or consensus," - said Moskalkova RIA Novosti.
"I'm not authorized to carry out checks on such matters, it political issues, issues of sanctions", - said the Ombudsman in response to the question whether the unit to check information about violations of human rights.
