In Kaliningrad opened a criminal case under article about promoting terrorism

Employees of management of FSB of Russia across the Kaliningrad region opened a criminal case on charges of promoting terrorist activities against the Russian citizen, who is accused in the fact that he has transferred money to people involved in the financing of ISIS* (banned in Russia), reported the press service of the FSB in the region.

"The investigative division of the regional Department of the FSB of Russia opened a criminal case against a Russian citizen on charges of promoting terrorist activities. It is established that the malefactor has provided cash transfers to the Bank cards of the persons involved in the financing of international terrorist organization "Islamic state"*, which is prohibited in the territory of the Russian Federation", - stated in the message.

It is noted, that the Central district court of Kaliningrad was elected to the accused a measure of restraint in form of detention. Currently UFSB of Russia across the Kaliningrad region establishes all circumstances of a crime.

The maximum punishment under part 1 of article 205.1 of the Criminal code of Russian Federation (assistance of terrorist activity) is up to 15 years of imprisonment.*A terrorist organization banned in Russia
