Human rights activists will sue the US government because of Michael Cohen

The human rights organization "American civil liberties Union" (ACLU) is suing the US government for the return to prison of ex-lawyer, American President Donald trump, Michael Cohen after his intentions to publish a book critical of the President.

"We're suing the Federal government for the detention of Michael Cohen in response to his plans to publish a book critical of trump," reads the statement on Twitter.

Earlier it became known that on July 9, Cohen returned to prison from house arrest. In may, he was released under house arrest in connection with the epidemic of the coronavirus. However, after that, Cohen began to appear on the streets of new York and at local restaurants.

Cohen was convicted of financial and other violations to three years in prison.

The Washington Post reports that, according to Cohen, he plans to release a book which will describe his "personal experience and observation, based on ten years of work and relationships with trump and his family, before his election and after." According to filed court documents, the working title of the book - "Betrayed: the Real story of Michael Cohen, a former personal lawyer of President Donald trump".
