The volume of coal mining in the Kemerovo region fell for the first time in 23 years
For the first time in 23 years in the Kemerovo region declined in coal mining, also coal miners stopped their investments because of misunderstanding of the development of the Eastern site, said in an interview with RIA Novosti, the Governor Sergey Tsivilev.
The head of the Kemerovo region said that the crisis has its own characteristics.
"It started suddenly, with a trade war between America and China. We knew in advance that Europe will refuse from coal. And the market has shifted to Asia. We planned the development of the Eastern polygon. Unfortunately, this crisis has more sharply superimposed that the Railways within a specified time not to develop the railway", — said the Governor.
According to Tsivilev, the authorities of the Kemerovo region are constantly turning to the Railways to provide a plan for how they 2024-2025 years to achieve the goals specified in the minutes of the meeting of the Commission on fuel and energy complex, which was chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"There was discussed the development of the Eastern polygon — BAM and Transsib. It is very important to know the plan for years, because that coal miners must plan their investments. If there is no plan, then the coal miners will not invest. In all, the Railways allocates its part of the 500 billion rubles, and coal miners, and much more. I am concerned that these investments began to stop because the miners do not understand how to develop the Eastern direction", — said Tsivilev.
