The US charges against Kadyrov needs to be proven in court, said Slutsky
The head of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky called the next unfriendly step of the American administration making the US "black list" of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov and added that allegations of human rights violations must be proved in court.
The U.S. state Department on Monday announced the introduction of Kadyrov in the "black list" of persons, involved, according to authorities, the violation of human rights.
"The introduction of personal sanctions of the USA against the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov and his family members – yet another unfriendly step by the American administration. The reason for including it in the black list completely unfounded. Kadyrov was and remains a patriot of Russia. Obviously, this fact is the real reason for the restrictions", - said Slutsky reporters.
According to him, the accusations of involvement in human rights violations are quite serious and need to be confirmed in court.
"Otherwise such statements are a libel on one of the most influential heads of Russian regions", - said the head of the Duma Committee.
