In Seattle at least 12 policemen were injured during the riots

At least 12 police officers were injured during the riots that erupted in Seattle on Sunday, according to the police Department of the city.

"The persons who participated in a large demonstration on Sunday, are responsible for significant damage to buildings owned by governments and private institutions in Seattle. At least a dozen officers were injured, made two arrests," - said in a statement to the police.

According to the police, the protest started on Sunday morning and initially was peaceful. Three hours later, it was joined by a group of protesters armed with baseball bats. The demonstrators smashed Windows of buildings and doused them with paint. Some protesters also looted.
