Storm warning announced in the Crimea because of heavy rains and squally wind, said the Minister of emergency situations of the Republic Sergey Shakhov.

"Until the end of the day on 20 July and 21 July in the Crimea in some places are expected heavy rains, thunderstorms, hail, squalls of 20-25 m/s", - Shakhov told journalists.

According to him, in these conditions there is a high probability of occurrence of emergency situations connected with flooding of territories, accidents at power plants, utilities, possible violations of transportation, and damage and destruction of agricultural plants.

"There is a threat to the life and health of population in connection with the possibility of falling billboards, trees, and poorly fortified structures and possible breakages of transmission lines. There's also the possibility of occurrence of incidents in the waters of the Black, Azov seas and the Kerch Strait. Possible difficulties in the work of the Kerch ferry crossing", - said the Minister and called on all to observe safety rules during bad weather.

According to the Crimean hydrometeorological center, on July 20-21 in the Western, Central, southern and Eastern regions of the Crimea will remain extreme fire danger in the mountains is also expected to extreme fire danger.
